The goal of the Legislative Library is to provide information and reference services to Members of the Legislative Assembly. It strives to achieve this goal by acquiring, cataloguing, servicing and preserving books, newspapers, government publications and other materials which enable Members to carry out their Legislative responsibilities.
In keeping with the goal stated above, the Legislative Library collects materials intended for an adult audience. The Library strives to collect materials representing a broad spectrum of opinion on a variety of topics. Materials suitable for younger children's school projects are not collected.
