The Speaker of the Legislative Assembly generally allows the legislative precinct grounds to be used for/by:

- The general public.
- Unorganized play such as soccer, football, picnics, etc.
- Non-profit fundraising organizations i.e. walks, runs, etc.
- Tents are allowed for public safety purposes such as first-aid.

The following are not permitted on the legislative precinct grounds:

- Private functions
- Tents (except for the purposes listed above)
- Alcohol
- Barbecues (except for government-related events)
- Hot air balloons
- Portable washrooms
- Drones

The Saskatchewan Legislative Building is located within Wascana Centre, which is administered by Wascana Centre Authority.

If you wish to hold an event in the legislative precinct, you must submit a written request to Wascana Centre Authority (WCA) outlining the purpose of the event, the services required, and the number of participants two weeks prior to the event. A copy of this request must also be submitted to the Building Supervisor of the Saskatchewan Legislative Building and the Sergeant-at-Arms.

  • Approval will be supplied by Wascana Centre Authority prior to the event.

  • All permits required will be the responsibility of the user group.

  • All costs incurred by the Government of Saskatchewan in providing any services will be the responsibility of the user group.

  • Any damages to the grounds or facility will be the responsibility of the user group.
