Greg was born in the Bladworth area on December 5, 1958. He grew up on the family farm with his two sisters, Linda and Dianne. Following the completion of his schooling, which was done in both Bladworth and Davidson, Greg runs the family’s mixed farm operation in Bladworth. Greg has served for six years on the village council. He is an active member of the Bladworth Elks Club and is a sports enthusiast, including hockey and golf.
Greg was first elected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly on September 16, 1999 and re-elected on November 5, 2003.
He is presently Deputy Speaker and Chair of the Committee of the Whole. Premier Brad Wall has appointed Mr. Brkich as Legislative Secretary to the Minister of Agriculture, Agriculture Programs Innovation Initiative. Mr. Brkich is currently Vice-Chair of the caucus’ Standing Policy Committee on Intergovernmental Affairs and Justice and is also a member of the Legislature’s Standing Committee on Intergovernmental Affairs and Justice, as well as the Private Bills committee. |
