Frank Quennell

Saskatoon Meewasin

New Democratic Party

Frank Quennell was born in Regina, Sask. He attended the University of Saskatchewan and graduated in 1982 with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and in 1985 with a Bachelor of Law. From 1986 to 2003, Frank practiced law in Saskatoon.

Frank has been actively involved in his community. From 1992 until 1995 he was a member of the Board of Directors of the Northern Enterprise Fund Inc. Frank served as a member of the Board of Governors of the University of Saskatchewan from 1995 to 2001 and was the Board’s elected Chair from 1999 until 2001.

Frank also served on the Board of Directors of the Child Hunger and Education Program and the Board of Directors of the Saskatoon and District Cooperative Association. He was a founding member of the Saskatoon Health Region Authority. Frank and his wife Cheryl, a nurse, have three children: Nathan, Kara and Jacqui.

Frank was first elected to the Saskatchewan Legislature on November 5, 2003. Most recently re-elected in 2007, he serves as the opposition critic for Justice and Attorney General, the Information Technology Office, and the Information Services Corporation.
