Greg Lawrence was elected to the Saskatchewan Legislature in the 2011 provincial election in the Moose Jaw Wakamow constituency.
Greg was born and raised in the Estevan area and moved in 2003 with his family to Moose Jaw where he began his employment with SaskTel. Prior to entering politics, he was a customer service technician with SaskTel as well as the vice-president for the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Local 3, and also served as the union’s grievance coordinator.
Greg, who has been involved with politics since 2007, is particularly impressed by the government’s commitment to the Métis people of Saskatchewan.
Volunteering in the community is also very important to Greg as he currently teaches martial arts at the YMCA and serves as the president for the Southern Plains Métis Local 160. Further, he recently served in the military reserves as the deputy commanding officer of the #40 Royal Canadian Air Cadets in Moose Jaw.
Greg and his wife Marjorie have three sons and one foster son.
