Biography
Jim Reiter was first elected as the MLA for Rosetown-Elrose in the 2007 provincial election and was re-elected in 2011.
Jim has served as the Legislative Secretary to the Minister of Education with specific responsibility for the Property Tax initiative. His report formed the basis for the largest education property tax cut in a single year in the province's history. Jim was a member of the caucus' standing policy committee on crowns and central agencies and was also a member of the legislature's Standing Committee on Crown and Central Agencies, Standing Committee on Public Accounts, and Standing Committee on Human Services.
Jim currently serves as Minister of Highways and Infrastructure, Minister Responsible for Saskatchewan Transportation Company, and Minister Responsible for the Global Transportation Hub Authority. He also serves on the Crown Investment Corporation’s board of directors.
Jim and his wife Bonnie reside in Rosetown.
