Biography
Randy was first elected in 1999 and re-elected in 2003, 2007, and 2011. He was Deputy Chair of the legislature’s Standing Committee on the Economy and served on the Standing Committee on Crown and Central Agencies, Standing Committee on House Services, Standing Committee on Agriculture and the Standing Committee on Non-controversial Bills. Randy served as Deputy House Leader and is currently Government Whip.
During his terms in opposition, Randy served as the critic for Highways and Transportation, Environment, and Labour and deputy critic for Immigration and Information Services Corporation. Randy was Vice-Chair of the caucus' standing policy committee on crowns and central agencies and served on the standing policy committee for public resource management and the management committee.
Randy was born in Biggar and grew up on the nearby family farm. He studied at the University of Saskatchewan and received a diploma in Agriculture. Randy also earned his Competent Toastmaster award (CTM) with Toastmaster International and returned to farm and ranch with his family. Randy and his wife Cindy make their home near Biggar.
