The Provincial Auditor of Saskatchewan is an Officer of the Legislative Assembly who is the auditor of public money managed by the Government of Saskatchewan. The Provincial Auditor Act gives the Provincial Auditor the responsibility, authority, and independence to audit and publicly report on all government organizations.

As a statutory Officer of the Legislative Assembly, the Provincial Auditor fosters excellence in public sector management and accountability for the province of Saskatchewan. Leading a team of professionals, the Provincial Auditor is responsible for reviewing and reporting on the appropriateness and reliability of accountability for government operations, on the management systems and practices in a wide range of government organizations, and for identifying opportunities and proposing solutions for better systems and business practices.

The professional and personal credibility earned through the career achievements of the successful candidate will be integral in maintaining the public trust and in protecting the independence of the work of this office. The candidate of choice will have extensive public sector audit management experience with demonstrated success as a leader of vision and insight for people and organizations, as well as an in-depth working knowledge of Canadian accounting, audit, and assurance standards.
