In response to the most recent wave of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan, and in keeping with the Government of Saskatchewan’s public health orders, Hon. Randy Weekes, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan, has announced a new protocol that applies to all individuals entering the Legislative Building.
Beginning Friday, October 1, 2021, all individuals seeking access to the Legislative Building will be required to provide either proof of full vaccination against COVID-19, or a negative COVID-19 test result from within 72 hours prior to seeking access to the building.
Every person in the Legislative Building must also continue to wear a mask indoors, in accordance with the current public health order.
All visitors to the Legislative Building will be screened upon entry for proof of their vaccination status or negative test results. The Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan will not retain any private information during the screening process.
Visitors to the building include, but are not limited to: members of the media, authorized service contractors, and members of the public accessing the building for meetings, library use, events, or tours. Employees who work in the building will be screened by their respective employers.
