Access to the Saskatchewan Legislative Building is suspended for all visitors as of March 13, 2020.
In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Hon. Mark Docherty, has announced that visitor access to the Legislative Building is suspended. This measure is effective Friday, March 13, 2020, at 5:00 p.m.
In keeping with this suspension, access to the presentation of the provincial budget on Wednesday, March 18, is restricted to Members of the Legislative Assembly, authorized employees, and accredited media.
All tours, educational events, and public events in the building are cancelled until further notice. Access to the Legislative Building is permitted for Members, authorized employees, accredited media, authorized service contractors, and the public service conducting parliamentary and ministerial work.
The Legislative Assembly urges all Saskatchewan citizens to comply with the recommendations of the Chief Medical Health Officer.
