The Journals is a compilation of the daily Votes and Proceedings (Minutes) of the Legislative Assembly, which are bound together with a comprehensive subject index at the end of a legislative session. It is considered the permanent official record of the proceedings of the Saskatchewan Legislative Assembly.
By statute, the Legislative Assembly is a court of record and the register of its proceedings, The Journals of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan, has the status of a legally recognised document. Section 41 of The Evidence Act includes the Journals in its list of documents of state, which may be given as evidence in a court of law without needing to prove the authority of the printer.
Disclaimer: The electronic versions of the Legislative Assembly's documents are provided on this site for information purposes only. The content of the documents is identical to the printed record; only the presentation differs unless otherwise noted. The printed versions are the official legal record.
