Canadian Health Research Collection These eBooks in the area of health and medical research are from Canadian research institutes, government agencies, and university centres.

Canadian Major Dailies (formerly Canadian Newsstand) The full text of Canadian news sources from over 20 of Canada's leading newspaper publishers. Newspapers include the Regina Leader Post, Saskatoon Star Phoenix, Calgary Herald, Globe & Mail, Ottawa Citizen, and Winnipeg Free Press.

Canadian Parliamentary Review A quarterly publication of the Canadian members of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association. Articles are searchable, and the online archive goes back to 1978. Free online.

Canadian Public Policy Collection Over 30,000 eBooks from Canadian public policy institutes, government agencies, advocacy groups, think-tanks, university research centres and other public interest groups. Includes many French titles. Fully searchable.

Canadian Publishers Collection Over 15,000 eBooks from a variety of Canadian scholarly and trade publishers, including both fiction and non-fiction titles. Includes some French titles. Fully searchable. 

Canadian Research Index Indexes federal, provincial, and municipal documents and publications from leading research centres in Canada.

Canadian Review of Social Policy A scholarly and bilingual journal. It aims to promote the exchange of ideas amongst those in education, the public sector, and social policy/administration. Includes analysis of historical and current developments, issues, and debates.

CanLII (Canadian Legal Information Institute) Search this website to find federal or provincial legislation; or court, board, or tribunal decisions. Managed by the Federation of Law Societies of Canada. Free online.

CPI.Q (Canadian Periodicals Index Quarterly) Provides full text of articles and reports from approximately 700 periodicals, with an emphasis on Canadian and international issues. Includes indexing for more than 1300 Canadian periodicals.

Early Canadiana Online (ECO) Features works published from the time of the first European settlers up to the first two decades of the 20th Century. Includes colonial, federal, and provincial government publications, as well as special collections such as aboriginal studies, early Canadian periodicals, women's history, and documents on the history of the Hudson's Bay Company.

Encyclopedia of Saskatchewan The website features approximately 2,300 individual entries covering all aspects of life in Saskatchewan with over 1,000 charts, graphs, maps, tables, and photographs. Free online.

Expanded Academic ASAP Provides citations or full text articles from more than 5000 scholarly and general-interest publications. Subject areas include the humanities, social sciences, politics, general sciences and current events.

GALLOP portal (Government and Legislative Libraries Online Publications) Provides access to full text and/or citations of electronic legislative and government publications held in libraries of the Association of Parliamentary Libraries in Canada. Content varies with each jurisdiction; the portal is not comprehensive or exhaustive. Free online.

General OneFile A large database indexing over 8,000 journals. Coverage is from 1980 to the present. Includes The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times and Christian Science Monitor

HeinOnline A fully-searchable legal research collection. Includes more than 2000 law journals, Canada Supreme Court Reports, Revised Statutes of Canada, Australian and Canadian Acts of Parliament, U.S. Treaties, and more.

iPortal (Indigenous Studies Portal) A database of electronic resources such as articles, theses and documents as well as digitized materials such as photographs and archival resources focusing primarily on First Nations and Aboriginals of Canada. Free online.

JSTOR Journals are always included from volume 1, issue 1. The most recently published issues (past 3-5 years) are not available, though you may be able to access them through a different database. The Legislative Library subscribes to five collections within JSTOR: Arts and Sciences I, II, IV, VI, VII Topics covered include economics, history, political science, sociology, business, education, law, public policy, and administration.

LegalTrac Indexes titles from major law reviews, legal newspapers, law specialty publications, bar association journals, and international legal journals.

Political Science Complete (NEW!) Covers political topics with a worldwide focus, including subjects such as comparative politics, law and legislation, public policy, public administration, and international relations. Search over 600 full-text journals, plus reference books and conference papers.

PressReader (formerly PressDisplay) A digital newspaper and magazine service offering over 5000 publications from 100 countries in 60+ languages. All publications are in their original format and layout, including full text, images, and ads.

Congressional Research Service (U.S.) Reports Reports initially generated for U.S. Members of Congress. They include nonpartisan, objective analysis and research on legislative issues. ERIC (Education Resources Information Center) Bibliographic records of education-related literature, plus a growing collection of full-text. Free online.

First Nations Periodical Index The website indexes 20 journals of mainly Canadian content. Last updated around 2008. Check the Journals list to see the last indexing dates, as they may be older than 2008. Free online.

General Reference Center Gold Citations and full-text for business and general interest titles, including national news magazines, children's magazines, and news services. A sub-set of General OneFile.

Index to Canadian Legal Periodical Literature (JuriBistro BIBLIO) Search for legal articles from more than 100 Canadian legal journals, as well as journals from related fields, and case comments. PubMed Includes over 25 million citations for biomedical articles back to the 1950's. These citations are from MEDLINE and additional life science journals. Includes links to many sites providing full text articles and other related resources, but some sites will charge a fee for the articles. Searching PubMed is free online.

Repère Provides indexing to French-language journals originating from all over the francophone world: Quebec, other Canadian provinces, France, Belgium, and Switzerland.

Theses Canada Portal The central access point for Canadian theses and information about the Theses Canada program. Free online.

Western Policy Analyst (2010-2014) Online publication which covered the four western provinces. Provided empirical analysis of Canadian policy trends and issues. Free online archive.

Women in Politics Contains citations and abstracts on the subject of women's participation in political life. From the Inter-Parliamentary Union. Free online.
