Current Status

The First Session of the Twenty-Eighth Legislature opened on Tuesday, May 17, 2016. The Assembly elected a Speaker, and Her Honour the Lieutenant Governor delivered the Speech from the Throne

The Assembly has also adopted a sessional order which sets out the schedule for the First Session.

Committee Public Hearings

Two of the Assembly's committees will be holding public hearings:

The Human Services committee will look for ways to improve organ donation in Saskatchewan.

The Crown and Central Agencies committee will hold hearings on Bill No. 1 - The Crown Corporations Public Ownership Amendment Act, 2016.

Watch Legislative Proceedings

You can watch the proceedings of the Legislative Assembly live on television and online. The Assembly's regular hours are Monday and Tuesday 1:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (recess 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.), Wednesday 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Thursday 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
