The Standing Committee on the Intergovernmental Affairs and Justice considers matters relating to the areas of justice; corrections, public safety and policing; municipal, intergovernmental, inter-provincial, First Nations, Métis and northern affairs; and tourism, parks, culture and sport.
This mandate is accomplished through the examination of legislative proposals, budgetary estimates, annual reports, regulations and by-laws of professional associations, and by conducting inquiries.

Committee Inquiry into Lobbying Legislation:
On December 7, 2011, the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan directed the Standing Committee on Intergovernmental Affairs & Justice to make recommendations on a legislative model for lobbying in Saskatchewan.
The Committee is soliciting input from the public. Those wishing to provide their written views respecting a legislative model for lobbying legislation in Saskatchewan are invited to do so. Written submissions may be sent via post, fax or email.
All submissions should be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28, 2012. The Committee will meet on Wednesday, February 29, 2012, to review the written submissions.
