Employment
The Legislative Assembly is assisted in its work by the Legislative Assembly Service (LAS) and by many Officers who fulfill a variety of roles.
Officers assist the Legislative Assembly in making government accountable and responsive to the public. They help monitor government spending, assist individual citizens with concerns about their treatment by government, protect the interests of children, administer provincial electoral events, receive concerns about the release of government information and other privacy matters, and help Members of the Legislative Assembly avoid conflicts of interest.
The LAS provides the administration and support services required for the operation of the Legislative Assembly. The LAS serves parliament through non-partisan, impartial support services and promotes a transparent and respected participatory democracy.
