Canadiana Online is a collection of 19 million pages of published monographs, serials, government publications, and more from a variety of libraries and institutions across Canada. Features published works from the time of the first European settlers up to the first two decades of the 20th Century.  The government publications collection includes over 1.7 million pages of pre-1920 colonial, provincial and federal (published) government documents. General OneFile (Gale) A large database with full-text for over 8,000 journals business and general interest journals. Coverage is from 1980 to the present. Includes The New York Times, The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times and Christian Science Monitor.

HeinOnline A fully-searchable legal research collection. Includes more than 2700 law journals, Canada Supreme Court Reports, Provincial Statutes and Revised Statutes of Canada, Australian and Canadian Acts of Parliament, U.S. Treaties, and more.

Héritage is a collection of digitized, microfilmed archival records from the holdings of Library and Archives Canada. Covering the 1600s to the mid-1900s, this collection includes aboriginal history from the 1700s, unpublished government records, and a genealogy collection. Also includes military history, and private papers from notable individuals and organizations. Free online.

Historical Newspapers: Leader Post, 1883-2010 A digitized newspaper archive of the Leader Post. Every issue includes the complete newspaper (articles, ads, and images), cover-to-cover, with full pages in a downloadable PDF format. Full-text, keyword searchable, using Optical Character Recognition (OCR). Also includes the Regina Sun (1986-2010).

iPortal (Indigenous Studies Portal) A database of electronic resources such as articles, theses and documents as well as digitized materials such as photographs and archival resources focusing primarily on First Nations and Aboriginals of Canada. Free online.

Irwin Law (desLibris platform) The entire catalogue of this Canadian independent legal publisher is available electronically. Over 290 titles published from 1997 to date are included in this searchable eBook collection, and new titles and updated editions are added as they are published. To view just the Irwin Law titles within desLibris, choose "Refine Results" in the left-hand column, then "Collections." Chrome is the recommended browser.

JSTOR Journals are always included from volume 1, issue 1. The most recently published issues (past 3-5 years) are not available, though you may be able to access them through a different database. The Legislative Library subscribes to five collections within JSTOR: Arts and Sciences I, II, IV, VI, VII Topics covered include economics, history, political science, sociology, business, education, law, public policy, and administration. Also includes Open Access articles and chapters from Open Access eBooks.

LegalTrac (Gale OneFile) Indexes titles from major law reviews, legal newspapers, law specialty publications, bar association journals, and international legal journals.

Political Science Complete Covers political topics with a worldwide focus, including subjects such as comparative politics, law and legislation, public policy, public administration, and international relations. Search over 600 full-text journals, plus reference books and conference papers.

Frontier Life: Borderlands, Settlement & Colonial Encounters Primary source documents digitized and collected here tell the story of the various frontiers that arose from the movements of Europeans to Africa, Australasia and North America. The earliest documents are from the seventeenth century and the latest the mid-point of the twentieth century. (Use of this collection indicates acceptance of end user terms and conditions.)

The Sunday Times Historical Archive, 1822-2016 Since 1822, The Sunday Times has provided analysis and commentary on the week's news and on society at large. Crime, theatre, sport and politics - all collide in its pages. This collection allows users to search a digitized edition.
