
Aleana Young was first elected in 2020, and she was reelected as the MLA for Regina South Albert in 2024. She is the opposition Whip and the Shadow Minister for Economy and Jobs, and SaskPower.
Aleana is a respected community leader and a proud small business owner. Prior to entering entrepreneurship, she studied at McGill and worked in the energy and environmental sectors and municipal development.
She served as a School Board Trustee with Regina Public from 2012 to 2020, and as vice president of the Saskatchewan School Boards Association for two terms. Aleana is active in the community, and served as the VP of Family Service Regina, a board member of Regina's Downtown Business Improvement District, and a member of the University of Regina Senate. She works to support her constituents and to champion others in small business.
Aleana is a mom to Hara and Kit, and is a slow but enthusiastic QCM participant. She and her husband are avid readers who enjoy the outdoors and culinary adventures.
