April ChiefCalf was first elected MLA for Saskatoon Westview in 2024. She is the opposition Shadow Minister for Housing and a member of the Standing Committee on Human Services.

She is an educator, community organizer and avid volunteer who is committed to delivering a brighter future for Saskatchewan families.

April was born and raised in Saskatchewan and has called Saskatoon home for 11 years. She spent 19 years in La Ronge and worked for the Northern Teacher Education Program (NORTEP/NORPAC) until 2017.

April recently worked in Indigenous teacher education programs on the U of S campus. She and her husband have two adult children. April loves gardening, sewing, reading and photography.
