Biography

Kim Gartner was first elected MLA for Kindersley-Biggar in 2024. He had a 35-year career in municipal administration, supporting local, regional, and provincial initiatives. He served as chief administrative officer for the town of Macklin for 30 years. Kim is a Past President of the Urban Administrators Association of Saskatchewan and has also served as School Trustee for the Living Sky School Division.

In addition to his professional life, Kim has been an active volunteer with numerous community organizations and has served as event coordinator for the World Bunnock Championship.

Kim was born and raised on a family farm a short distance east of Macklin. He and his wife Colleen have four children and four granddaughters.
