Erika Ritchie was elected MLA for Saskatoon Nutana in 2020. She is the opposition critic for Environment, Energy and Resources, SaskWater, Water Security Agency, and SaskEnergy.
She is a community organizer, environmental engineer and long-time Saskatoon resident. As an environmental engineer, Erika has worked in both the public and private sector to advance climate action, environmental protection and sustainable resource development. She has formed valuable relationships with Indigenous communities, and has made sure that resource development respects the rights of Indigenous peoples and land.
Through her activism, Erika has advanced the interests and rights of workers, and ensured the environment is treated responsibly and sustainably. She prides herself on standing up for workers and her community. As the mother of four grown children, Erika’s experience extends to raising a family and a desire to protect future generations.
